George Street Research goes into liquidation

Scottish market research and fieldwork agency George Street Research has gone into liquidation, it has been revealed.

The company, which is one of the Scottish Government roster agencies, employed around 15 people in its offices in Edinburgh.

Accounting firm Johnston Carmichael confirmed that it had been appointed as administrator, but was unable to comment further.

Last year MRUK Research, the social research function owned by The Cello Group, saw staff reductions due to public sector cuts.
