BBC Magazines Bristol is extending two of its brands with tomorrow’s launch of three special edition bookazines.

Focus Magazine’s ‘Ultimate Gadget Guide 2011’ is a 116-page comprehensive guide to home technology. It features buying guides as well as expert advice to help readers make the most of gadgets they already have.

Also from the BBC’s award-winning science and technology magazine is ‘The Big Book of Answers’. Covering a multitude of subjects from the animal kingdom, mathematics and the environment to engineering, the human brain and the Universe, this 196-page guide features questions sent into Focus by readers and answered by a panel of the country’s leading scientific experts.

The third bookazine, BBC Music Magazine’s ‘100 Jazz Legends’, is an essential guide to the biggest names in jazz. Following the success of his monthly ‘Jazz Starter’ column in BBC Music Magazine, ‘100 Jazz Legends’ is written by Radio 3’s Jazz Record Request presenter, Geoffrey Smith, and will be a must have for any jazz enthusiast or aspiring collector.

Andrew Davies, publisher of Focus and BBC Music Magazine, commented: “These new special editions add to our portfolio of exciting brand extensions for Focus and BBC Music Magazine. Both titles are now truly multi-platform brands and I’m confident that these bookazines will be well received by existing fans of the magazines and new readers alike.”
