Names of NotW staff involved in hacking could be revealed next month
A lawyer with Schillings has revealed that the names of journalists who asked a private detective to hack into mobile phones may be revealed next month.
The law firm, who is representing actor Steve Coogan, was asked by the Metropolitan police to keep the list of journalists names, revealed to Coogan through a court order, private.
Schillings has agreed not to disclose the names until the police application is heard at London’s high court on 7 October.
The police objected to the names being released because of fears that it could tip off potential suspects.
