Duttons Design has announced that it is to merge with another Bristol design business, Gravity.

The merger will see Sam Lacey, managing director of Gravity, join Duttons alongside Mike Cannings from 5 September.

Gravity was formed five years ago and is currently based at Paintworks in Bristol, having worked with brands such as Apetito, Wiltshire Farm Foods, The Groovy Food Company and Naturya in that time.

Sam Lacey commented “The merger is a great opportunity for both agencies. Duttons was looking to boost growth and to expand its senior creative team and we needed to be able to offer our key clients greater flexibility and depth of resource in order to meet their needs going forward.”

Mike Spurr, commercial Director of Duttons, added: “With the design industry focusing on increasing both efficiency and responsiveness, the merger of our complementary businesses makes strategic sense. The two agencies share a similar philosophy, especially when it comes to client service, and the expanded team will allow us to do more for our clients.”
