PR agency Beattie Communications has opened a crisis management division aimed at the UK's corporate sector.

The eight-strong Only Crisis team will operate out of Beattie's offices in Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester and London and will have a 24/7 'crisis hotline' for clients in need.

Former Sun journalist Chris Gilmour, who has been with Beattie for 12 years, will head up the new team.

He said: "Our goal is always to kill crisis situations dead before they can grow arms and legs."

Only Crisis's 15 services include crisis communications, crisis planning and media monitoring - all strictly aimed at the corporate market.

“We’re not in the business of undertaking crisis management for celebrities,” added Gilmour. “Our focus is very much the corporate sector.”

Only Crisis is the twelfth new division Beattie Communications has launched over the past year as part of its Only brand. Others include Only Health, Only Retail and Only Social.
