Chevrolet UK has announced that Rebecca Lawman has been promoted to the role of marketing manager.

Lawman has worked at the company for six years, beginning in marketing roles with the Reg Vardy group before moving on to take a field based regional role, heading up dealer marketing in Chevrolet.

Her most recent role was as product manager.

Lawman will be tasked with overseeing all of Chevrolet’s on-going marketing in the UK.

Said Lawman:“It’s a thrilling time to be working for Chevrolet,” said the 31-year old Scot. “We’ve undergone something of a product revolution to the point where there is no model in our current range that is more than two years old. We’ve got an amazing brand, a great line-up of cars and huge opportunity for growth in the coming months and years, and the key to that will be growing awareness of both how strong our brand and product offer are across the UK and beyond.”

She takes on the new role as Chevrolet gears up to launch its new Aveo supermini in October, while she will also oversee the launch of the company’s electric car range, the Volt, which will debut in the UK next year.

“Rebecca is typical of the Chevrolet UK team and of our brand and model range,” said Chevrolet UK managing director Mark Terry. “As a brand we’re young, energetic, vibrant and geared for growth, while our cars are just getting better and better all the time. She’s the ideal fit as we enter the most important phase of our UK history.”
