Google is keeping the momentum going on its fresh faced social networking platform, Google+, with the release of a “hangout feature on Youtube.

Nestled below every video hosted on the platform (which Google also owns) is now to be found a share button which allows multiple friends to “Hangout” and watch a video simultaneously.

It is thought this launch paves the way for Google+ members to activate hangouts around live stream content – part of a drive to boost the fledgling sites numbers and interaction levels.

Google+ is already raising concerns in Facebook’s boardrooms as the network considers how best to respond to the new threat.
