Frankie Boyle to make Channel 4 return
Controversial comedian Frankie Boyle is being lined up to host a new talk show for the station – months after the widely panned Tramadol Nights drew the ire of Ofcom for a joke over Jordan’s disabled son.
The Glaswegian comedian is being courted to give his irreverent take on the week’s news and to that end filming of a pilot episode of Frankie Boyles Rehabilitation Programme is set to begin in October.
Speaking to MediaGuardian channel 4’s head of comedy Shane Allen said they would “film it the night before and cut out all the horrific bits", joking: "It's very much like Parkinson or Wogan, but with paedo jokes.”
