This week's Sunday round up of media news sees the phone hacking scandal continue to rumble on with further allegations made against The News of the World, while John Bercow could be set to divorce his wife over Big Brother, and a Philadelphia newspaper takes aim at Glasgow over Brad Pitt's new movie.

The News of the World apparently hacked more of Milly Dowler’s phone messages than first thought. According to The Observer, the Wall Street Journal has obtained copies of the newspaper from 2002 in which further information, apparently taken from the voice messages, was reported.

Meanwhile, private investigator Glenn Mulcaire will this week be ordered to reveal the names of the members of staff at News International who hired him to intercept voice mail messages. According to The Independent on Sunday, Mulcaire will submit a list of names to the court overseeing Steve Coogan’s libel case against the company.

Meanwhile, claims made in a letter by former News of the World’s Royal correspondent Clive Goodman that phone hacking was ‘widely discussed’ at the newspaper could impact Tommy Sheridan’s perjury case verdict. Apparently Scottish police will look to interview Goodman over the claims, according to The Sunday Herald.

Claims have been made that the marriage of Commons speaker John Bercow to wife Sally may be over, after her decision to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house. The Mail on Sunday claims that sources close to John say that he has discussed the possibility of divorce.

The Mail on Sunday also reports that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has become a role model for ‘pro-anorexia’ websites in the US. Celebrities such as Victoria Beckham and Mary-Kate Olsen are also highlighted as role models on the sites.

Philadelphia newspaper The Philadelphia Enquirer has claimed that Glasgow is boasting about doubling for the city for Brad Pitt’s Zombie epic World War Z. Streets around Glasgow’s City Centre have been made up to double as Philadelphia, with streets signs, US taxis and traffic lights, as well as SWAT van being placed around various locations.
