Indesit appoints We Are Social to global social media brief

Home-appliances business Indesit has appointed We Are Social to handle its global social media brief.

The brief, initially covering 12 countries, will be handled by We Are Social’s Milan office, with supporting teams in We Are Social’s London and Paris offices.

The first campaign for Indesit sees We Are Social support the company’s sponsorship of four European football clubs during the 2011-2012 football season: AC Milan, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Shakhtar Donetsk.

We Are Social has been tasked to develop conversational touchpoints between Indesit and football fans on Facebook, Twitter, and football.indesit.com, a conversation platform developed by We Are Social to establish a dialogue with genuine football fans across Europe.

Marco Rota, brand & consumer marketing director at Indesit, said: “The Genuine Football Fan campaign represents the core value of this project – and the entire sponsorship, because it originates from the essence of the Indesit brand – genuine efficiency.
