Harrogate Spa Water looks to social media for Thirsty Planet

Harrogate Spa Water is turning to social media to promote its charitable Thirsty Planet brand.

A donation from every pack or bottle of Thirsty Planet sold goes to Pump Aid, the charity that provides clean water in Africa.

Harrogate Spa has enlisted digital marketing agency 9xb to spread the word with a social media campaign. It will create branded content on sites such as Facebook and will try to recruit brand advocates.

Nicky Reeve, marketing manager for Harrogate Spa Water, said: “Social media is the perfect platform for developing the Thirsty Plant brand. We want to create a lasting, emotional connection with our consumers and drive home the message that they are making a positive contribution by choosing our brand over the competition.

“The Facebook platform will allow us to effectively tell the story of our partnership with PumpAid and give our customers a framework to share content on our behalf.”
