Ideal Shopping Direct enlists Acxiom Corporation

TV and web retailer Ideal Shopping Direct has appointed Acxiom Corporation to handle customer lifecycle marketing.

Ideal Shopping says its aim is to provide a personalised, consistent shopping experience across multiple channels for all of its customers.

Acxiom will take the customer and sales data from Ideal Shopping's four brands - Ideal World.TV, Create and Craft.TV, Garden Bargains and Animal Bargains - and consolidate it into a single database.

It claims this will make it easier for Ideal Shopping "to recognise, understand and respond to customers with relevant offers through an individual’s preferred channel".

Mike Hancox, CEO of Ideal Shopping Direct, said: “As we strive to remain a leading multichannel retailer, we want to provide a better customer experience, increase transactions, and improve our retention and customer interaction rates."
