European video advertising company smartclip has this week signed an exclusive deal with Livestation.

Livestation offers the world’s largest selection of live news and brings together leading live news channels from around the world including CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera and CNBC. Most of the channels are available for free and can be watched on the PC, mobile, tablet and connected TV. Livestation has official agreements with its content partners and works closely with news organisations to continuously develop the service.

Under the partnership, smartclip’s multi-platform technology advertisers will reach viewers on whichever platform they are consuming Livestation feeds.

Jean Paul Wevers, publisher director of smartclip UK, said: “We support Livestation primarily through our leading European position in online video advertising. Livestation has a quality premium content and through our work together we will be able to provide targeted advertising opportunities for brands and media agencies alike.”

Lippe Oosterhof, CEO of Livestation, said: “Live news is one of the most powerful content categories and Livestation has been very successful at attracting a large and premium audience. Our visitors are interested in following live news throughout the day and appreciate getting multiple points of view on a story. Livestation and its partners are excited about our new alliance with smartclip to make this valuable audience available to advertisers.”
