Mira Showers is claiming to be the first bathroom company to launch new packaging which includes Quick Response (QR) codes; designed to give customers a window to a new world of information to make purchase decisions easier in store.

Scan in the code with a smart phone QR code reader and you’re automatically taken to a mobile web page containing the product’s information including videos, photos and other information to bring the item and how it operates to life.

The new packaging also aims be a lot clearer with icons which explain the product’s benefits, plus simpler and more concise information. The icons allow consumers to ‘comparison shop’ products easily in store.

Roger Crabb, marketing manager at Mira said: “This is a great way for Mira to help consumers make a decision about the best shower for their home. Mira is the first shower manufacturer in the UK to use QR codes – we’re always looking for new ways to make accessing information and helping customers make an educated decision.

“Building on this, shoppers can use the straightforward icons so they can compare products easily in-store if they don’t have a smart phone – we want to make deciding which product to go for easy for consumers.”
