The Drum has learned that Sion Ashley-Jones is leaving his role as managing director of Golley Slater Cardiff.

Ashley-Jones confirmed this morning that he would be leaving the Golley Slater group "for family reasons" but he declined to divulge whether or not he has another job lined up.

He has been in charge of the advertising division at Golley Slater Cardiff for the last four years having joined from TMP Directional Marketing, where he was client services director, in 2007.

Before that he spent 14 years in the advertising industry working for agencies including McCann Erickson and Ware Anthony Rust.

Chris Lovell, chief executive of Golley Slater, said: "We wish Sion every success with this move. He has led our Cardiff advertising business through a successful last four years and he leaves with our gratitude for all his hard work and our best wishes for the future."
