Jason Donovan has joined with the Wall’s dog Alan in the company’s latest advert, which features the duo singing a love song.

The online video, called ‘Jason sings for you’ forms part of the multimillion pound ‘Thank You Thank You’ campaign, which spans TV and online.

Jason Donovan said: “It was great to work on such a light-hearted campaign that builds on this notion that we all sometimes need help or a reminder to show we care. As soon as I heard the creative my mind was buzzing with ideas, and I just can’t wait to see how it goes down with the public.”

In the campaign, developed by freud communications in partnership with Ralph productions and Saatchi & Saatchi, Jason and Alan begin singing a farcical love song. Alan interrupts to air his musical differences, testing Jason’s patience.

Viewers are invited to personalise their own video at the Wall’s proper food website and send on to friends and family via email and Facebook.

Phil Chapman, chief marketing officer for Kerry Foods, said: “We thought it would be interesting to create a viral that builds on our Wall’s TV ads - something entertaining that moves the Wall’s “Thank You Thank You” story on. Once we had decided on the content, Jason seemed like the perfect fit, allowing us to marry two much-loved icons together in this fun, tongue-in-cheek spoof.”
