The next Golden Twit Awards will see award entrants be given the opportunity to judge other entries.

Previous winners of the awards that celebrate the best tweets of the year have included Eamonn Holmes, Charlie Brooker, Stephen Fry, Alan Carr and Jason Manford.

The free to enter awards include categories such as Humour, Weird, Celebrity and Fake Celebrity, while new categories added for this year include Journalist, Music, Politics, Sports and Television.

Already entries have been received from TAMBA, Actions for Children, the Eastenders Forum and a fake Rebekah Brooks twitter account @Rebekah_thehack.

Those who enter this year will be the judges for the awards, and will be able to add their own selection of their favourite tweets by other entrants.

Other social networking useage is also being celebrated through sister event The Social Buzz Awards, which awards the effectiveness of social media use by businesses and includes categories such as Best Use of Facebook, Use of Video, Blog, App and Social Learning.
