The two founders of Artemis Media and Public Affairs have split and started their own agencies.

Emma Parker-Goff and Ben Pinnington, who founded the Wirral based firm in 2007, have had an amicable parting.

Parker-Goff has launched Artemis Media Profile, with Artemis account manager Ed Casson taking up the role of account director, while account executive Kelly O'Connor has been appointed as social media consultant. Former journalist and broadcaster Jenny Hammond has been appointed account manager.

Artemis Media Profile has retained several clients from the original company, such as renewable energy specialist Stiebel Eltron, retail training partnership Academy ONE and recruiter Scantec.

Pinnington has launched Polaris Media Management with his journalist brother Sam. His father, Phil, a former BBC Radio Merseyside presenter, will work as a consultant for the company.

Polaris will be a private business specialist PR firm, and will promote organisations such as the CBI. It will also retain some clients from the original Artemis agency.
