Facebook launches ‘Facebook for Business’ in battle against Google+

With Google+ warning that corporate pages will not be rolled out until later this year, Facebook has launched a new centre for smaller businesses.

‘Facebook for Business’ is designed to help smaller businesses which have not set up a Facebook page already.  The webpage suggests that its use can help build a community, produce targeted adverts and creating a ‘social experience’.

It gives users a step-by-step guide on how to use the branding potential of Facebook.

The product was launched on Tuesday, and at the time of writing the page was ‘liked’ by 1,722.

Game on!

Looks like Google+ is giving Facebook a well need kick up the backside.

The next 3-6 months should make fascinating viewing.
