The Highland Council is searching for an agency to design, develop and host a website that will enhance the quality of life of those who live in the Highlands.
The site will be developed for High Life Highland, which will be registered as a charity from October, where it will aim to deliver community learning and leisure services on behalf of the council.
The website will be designed, developed and hosted by the successful applicant, with the aim of promoting the charity’s services, as well as details of services to customers.
Three key phases of delivery have been identified for the project, with the first two set to be completed by the end of December this year.
Phase 1 will oversee the creation of the portal, while Phase 2 will include the extension of the site to incorporate pages relating High Life Highland, which are currently operated externally.
This third phase will see the development of the website to incorporate information and access to all facilities and services offered by the charity, as well as an online booking facility.
The contract, once appointed, will run for three year, with a maxiumum value over the period of £30,000.
Expressions of interest should be made by 14 October.

Am I reading this right? £30,000 for three years work?
there is charity work (sick kids, help for heroes and the like), and there is charity work....
Isn't this just a local council promoting stuff like the leisure centre/library/ etc?
