The National Federation of Retail Newsagents has called for an investigation into newspaper distribution by the Competition Commission.

The body which represents newsagents across the UK has said that the current market for distributing newspapers is being put under pressure by the liked of John Menzies and Smiths News, which dominates the marketplace.

Yesterday, the organisation began a ‘Press for Reform’ campaign for its 18,000 members to sign a petition to review the marketplace.
