SAB Miller announces growth volumes for Q1 of 2011

SAB Miller has announced that is lager and soft drink volumes grew by 5% in the first quarter of its financial year.

Despite a moderate rise in the cost of raw materials, the company saw increased volumes and selective price increases grow revenue by 7% while the company also increased investment behind its brands.

In Europe, the company found a rise in larger volumes of 5%, with continued growth experienced in the UK, and marginally lower in Italy and the Netherlands.

SAB Miller's Q1 for 2011 ended on 30 June.
