Tourism body Visit Sweden is set to launch two new Facebook apps created by glue Isobar.

The first app has been created in partnership with budget airline easyJet and holiday firm Discover The World. It allows users to create their own tailor-made travel guide to Skåne, the southernmost county of Sweden.

Each guidebook can be downloaded and printed from an email, or sent to a smartphone or other devices for mobile access.

During the first 12 weeks of going live, the app will be supported by a competition with prizes including holiday packages to Skåne and pairs of jeans from Swedish fashion label Nudie.

The second app called ‘Stock or Göt’ will launch at the end of the month. Created in partnership with Scandinavian Airlines, it allows users to see what Sweden has to offer and gives them the opportunity to win their ideal holiday.

Players are encouraged to choose between pairs of quirky Swedish photographs, which represent either Stockholm or Göthenburg. The app then uses the selections to calculate their perfect city and scans a variety of hotels, restaurants and activities to create a perfectly tailored itinerary.

Each fortnight entrants will receive Scandinavian Airlines flights, luxury accommodation and a pass that entitles them to free travel and entry to hundreds of attractions in their selected city.
