Mobile marketing solutions company Upstream has appointed Simon Negus as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Former Microsoft partner and general manager Negus (pictured) has been hired to help the firm grow in the mobile marketing space.

Alex Vratskides, CEO of Upstream, said: “Welcoming such an impressive industry figure as Simon to Upstream is indicative of the pace at which the business is growing and the ambitions we have for the company.

“Simon brings a unique combination of hardware, software and service business experience to Upstream and his proven ability to deliver objective excellence and operational rigour at some of the most highly-valued tech companies in the world bodes well for the future of Upstream and its customers.”

Simon Negus added: “Consumers are dealing not only with the proliferation of digital devices, but also the explosion of data, content and information that they need to absorb on a daily basis.

“Any technology company that can tailor, segment and deliver that information and content more relevantly, at scale, as Upstream does, is going to play an important part in shaping the digital marketing landscape and that’s just one of the many reasons why I am excited about joining the company.”
