York Fitness appoints Komodo PR & Digital Communications

York Fitness has appointed Komodo PR & Digital Communications to handle its UK based PR and social media.

The public relations firm, which is part of The Reptile Group, has been appointed to help with a brand refresh of the fitness company to help build its position in the market, as well as building support amongst consumers and gyms in the UK through a programme that incorporates media relations, sponsorship and social media activity.

Ian Reid, York Fitness’ marketing director, said: “We’re excited to be working with Komodo who has a great reputation for helping brands exploit heritage and innovation.

“York Fitness is known globally for creating great quality fitness products, but it’s time to really raise the bar and begin building wider and deeper relationships with our audiences.”

Komodo will harness relationships with leading athletes and sportspeople as part of a promotion for the brand and products such as the ‘fighting fit’ range. The company will work with York Fitness’branding agency, DS emotion, to develop a communications strategy.
