Sainsbury’s launches mobile website for non-food products
Sainsbury’s has launched a mobile website for non-food products built using a mobile platform provided by Usablenet.
The website, which was launched on Saturday 16 July, is available through any mobile device.
Tanya Lawler, Sainsbury's Director of Digital & Cross Channel, said: “We know that our customers are increasingly looking to engage with us digitally and this new mobile shopping site is a big step towards Sainsbury's becoming a true cross channel retailer.
“Customers can now browse a fantastic range of products and shop at their convenience. We are confident that the ability to shop on mobile devices with Sainsbury's will be a real success with our customers.”
The Sainsbury's mobile app has been downloaded over a quarter of a million times since its launch in August 2010.
