STV congratulates former studio manager over £161m Euromillion win
STV has congratulated its former member of staff who has won £161m in this week’s Euromillions lottery.
Colin Weir, a retired studio manager and camera operator for STV who worked at the Scottish media outlet for over 20 years while based in Cowcaddens, alongside wife Chris, were unveiled this afternoon as the winners of £161,653,000.
The retired pair were the sole winners of the jackpot, having chosen numbers 17, 19, 38, 42 and 45, and the Lucky Stars 9 and 10.
A spokesperson for STV commented: “We wish Colin every success with his winnings.”
The couple, who live in Largs, were unveiled as the winners at a press conference by lottery operator Camelot this afternoon.
