Future publishing set for digital focus following revenue decline
Publishing group Future is the latest magazine published to announce that it plans to concentrate on digital platforms moving forward, as the company announces a 3% year-on-year revenue decline.
The company, which published titles such as Playstation Official Magazine, Total Film and Cycling Plus, has said that it plans to restructure its UK business in order to adapt more quickly online and deliver a more efficient print offering.
Digital revenue at the company through platforms such as the iPad have grown by 40%, while the company has witnessed a decline in advertising revenue, although the US arm of the business has predicted that its forecast of earnings will be £2 million less than predicted.
The company also revealed that digital revenue rose above £1 million for the first time in June.
