The Drum has two pairs of tickets to give away for a lecture by Jamie Reid whose cover for The Sex Pistols’ 'God Save the Queen' became the most iconic image of the punk era.

The exhibition examines the dialogue between traditional royal portraiture and the informal approach of the mass-media. The resulting transition from formality to familiarity underpins her portrayal by a range of contemporary artists who have challenged tradition. Collectively these images reveal radical changes in the way Queen Elizabeth II has been depicted and perceived.

The exhibition includes a lecture by Jamie Reid who is best known for his work for the Sex Pistols and Suburban Press and whose appropriation of Cecil Beaton's photograph of Queen for the single cover of 'God Save the Queen' became the most iconic image of the punk era.

The Drum has two pairs of tickets to give away for the evening talk on Thursday 21 July where Reid will talk about this subversive image and its impact, as well as his works from the 60s to present day.

All you have to do for a chance to win tickets for the event is answer the following question: ‘God Save The Queen’ by The Sex Pistols was released on which record label?

Winners are Natalya Ratner and Scott Leslie.
