DSK maid sues New York Post over prostitution claims
The maid at the centre of a shaky sexual assault case against former IMF head Dominic Strauss-Kahn has launched legal action against the New York Post for publishing accusations of working as a prostitute.
The paper alleged that the maid was engaged in sex work at the hotel in which she worked and continued to practice even after the story broke.
Citing the “humiliation, scorn and ridicule” such articles brought upon the plaintiff the woman’s lawyers are now suing for defamation and libel.
The case against DSK has been floundering since attorney’s found “major holes” in the maids story, lies about being gang raped on her asylum claim and received deposits of up to £60k from a known drug dealer over the past two years.
