Trinity Mirror is set to restructure its North West advertising division in response to the current trading conditions being experienced by MEN Media, which could see 13 roles made redundant.

Proposal will see the advertising production work at MEN Media Titles ‘migrate’ to the publisher’s North West advertising hub, affecting 13 roles which have now entered a consultation process.

Four new roles will be created as a result of the move, based in Liverpool, which all affected staff will be invited to apply for, the company has explained.

David Sharrock, managing director of MEN Media, said: “These proposals are vital to protect the ongoing position of the business in the challenging economic environment.

“We are committed to achieving as many of these potential redundancies as possible by voluntary means.”

Earlier this month Trinity Mirror announced that 90 editorial jobs would go at The Daily Record and Sunday Mail in Glasgow.
