The British Fashion Council has joined with video solutions company Rightster to create on-demand coverage for London Fashion Week spring/summer 2012.

Rightster will provide live streaming support, published distribution, monetisation services and integration of the video content over sources such as Facebook.

The partnership will enable publishers, designers, brand sponsors and advertisers to maximise the value of their involvement with the event.

The Rightster system will allow publishers to create their own customisable video-playlists, incorporating both their own video and the official BFC content.

Publishers can also commission additional, bespoke packages through Rightster to further enhance and differentiate their coverage, tailoring their video to their audiences. Event sponsors, such as Canon and Vodafone, will also be able to use Rightster.

Caroline Rush, CEO of the BFC, said: "We are working with Rightster to bring the London Fashion Week brand to a worldwide audience. Rightster's innovative system and live video expertise will provide our sponsors, designers and press partners with more ways to innovate and extract maximum value from their involvement in the London Fashion Week event."
