Wood Green, The Animals Charity has been working with digital agency Tictoc to design and develop a new website utilising its new brand.

The new brand aims to attract a wider demographic for the charity. To support this, the new website provides an interactive hub for the Charity’s supporters.

Calls-to-action feature on the homepage reflecting the goals for the site: to increase animal rehoming, donations, and involvement with the Charity.

There is a focus on young people as the site includes a “Fun & Learning” section which includes games and quizzes and a section for teachers, providing ideas and resources to teach responsible pet ownership to all ages. The site also provides opportunities for user interaction including a “Petbook” feature where people can add information, pictures and updates about their pets.

There is also a blog and links to the Charity’s social networking profiles so that Wood Green can engage with supporters.

Wood Green also wanted to ensure that the website showcased their activities beyond animal rehoming, so the new site lets supporters know about volunteering opportunities (such as becoming an animal midwife or an animal foster carer) and provides a “Pet advice” section.

Chief executive of the charity, Dennis Baker OBE said: “In order for Wood Green to continue to evolve and reposition itself as a nationally recognised charity, we felt it imperative that we create a brand new website which reflects our progressive approach to animal welfare and showcases our new brand. We are very proud of our new site, particularly our extensive Pet advice section, our new Fun & Learning section and our Community section. We hope that its modern, fresh and vibrant look and informative and interactive features will ensure it attracts a younger, wider audience as well as appealing to our existing supporters.”
