Microsoft will today launch its cloud service Microsoft Office 365, which has been in beta since April.

There will be specific versions for different sizes of firms, and it will replace the current system of Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS).

The release date was revealed on June 3, when Microsoft vice president Jon Roskill tweeted “June 28th is the date for General Availability of Office 365! > 100,000 real customers on beta...Partners, are you ready???”

In retaliation of this new project, Shan Sinha, Google app’s project manager, put up a blog yesterday entitled ‘365 reasons to consider Google Apps’, where he stresses how he thinks Google is better, stating that “Office 365 is for individuals. Apps is for teams”.
