As part of its restructuring process, Centaur Media is understood to be closing its PR and reputation management site Reputation Online.

The site, edited by Vikki Chowney, was launched as part of New Media Age in September 2009. It appeared to have been taken down immediately this afternoon as part of a restructuring exercise. However, The Drum was told it actually crashed as a result of the traffic generated by the news.

Yesterday it emerged Centaur was also closing the print editions of both Design Week and New Media Age with almost immediate effect.

Redundancies are expected as a result of the closure of Reputation Online, while the company also plans to offload a number of other titles across logistics and supply chain, recruitment, manufacturing and B2B construction. It is thought around 60 jobs will be lost as a result of the rationalisation.

Earlier today, The Drum published an internal memo by the company’s chief executive Geiff Wilmott, sent to staff yesterday which announced the plans for the business.
