Designer's Republic founder Ian Anderson to speak at Go Global Conference in Manchester

Ian Anderson, the founder of the renowned design consultancy The Designer's Republic, is to be interviewed live on stage at next week's Go Global Conference to share his business experiences.

Anderson launched The Designers Republic in Sheffield in 1986 and quickly went on to develop a reputation for strong iconic design work for major brands around the world including JVC, Sony and Toshiba in Japan, Polygram in France, Swatch in Italy, TVT Records in the USA and Sun Electric in Germany.

At Go Global Anderson will take part in a 30-minute interview with MiNetwork’s managing director Richard Draycott, during which he will discuss how he took his business from being a small studio in the industrial city of Sheffield to being an international acclaimed design house, how he won and managed clients based overseas and also some of the differences he experienced of working in different foreign territories.

The Go Global Conference takes place on 30th June at Manchester Art Gallery and will see marketing services agencies – Elmwood, Photolink, BJL, Reading Room, Fifth Ring, Orb International - presenting about how they have taken their business international and the positive impact it has had on their overall business and their bottom-line.

UK Trade & Investment international trade advisor Ian Parker will also be speaking about how UK companies can take advantage of the opportunities that exist overseas and how UKTI can support and help ambitious marketing business. The China-Britain Business Council will also present at the conference on the opportunities that exist in one of the fastest growing economies on the plant and how UK agencies can get help to work with clients based I n cities such as Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.

Agencies set to attend the Go Global Conference include Gratterpalm, Tangerine PR, Tayburn, Coolpink, Madison Soho, Hangar Seven, Barrett Dixon Bell, CTI Digital, Eyeka and This Is Beyond among others who are keen to explore international opportunities.
