STV has agreed its first two product placement deals with Scottish Borders Council and Lidl for The House.
The product placements will take place during tomorrow show (24 June) with Lidl products and barbeque equipment appearing exclusively within an outdoor cooking feature and a series of Our Scottish Borders branded posters featuring on screen.
The ‘P’ product placement logo will appear before the show and after the advertising break to alert viewers that the product placement will feature during the programme.
This is the first time that STV has agreed such a deal since restrictions were lifted by the Government in February this year.
Kelly Bredin, head of sponsorship at STV, said: “The new regulations on product placement brings new and exciting opportunities for adding value to our content and we are delighted to have secured STV’s first product placement deals in collaboration with Scottish Borders Council and Lidl.”
