Manchester based brand design and digital consultancy firm Studio North has won two new contracts.

The first is with Manchester Metropolitan University, for the Centre for Air Transport and the Environment (CATE).

Studio North will develop, design and launch a new website for CATE, to engage with the organisation’s key audiences and to promote the standing of both the University and CATE as a quality, independent and trusted resource.

The website, to be launched later this year, will also be used to recruit students and to secure income for its consultancy and training services.

The second contract won by Studio North is for Fylde Borough Council, for another website design.

To be launched in January 2012, the site will be aimed at residents in the constituency and will show the services the council offers, with the main aims being to increase visitor numbers, drive on-line transactions and improve visitor satisfaction.

Michael di Paola, operations director at Studio North, said: “Both these wins are great news for the agency as they provide their own challenges for very different audiences. We all know that the public sector has been hit hard so it’s positive to see that effective digital communications are still seen as a vital component for long term success, engagement and development.”
