Ryan Giggs could be set to lose his sponsorship deal with sportswear firm Reebok following the emergence of reports over a third extra-marital affair.

Giggs, who is now being compared with golfer Tiger Woods, could be set to lose the £20m sponsorship deal he has in place with Reebok after the brand refused to comment on the future of its relationship with the Manchester United midfielder.

The Daily Mail claims that the brand would not comment when asked whether it would stand by him.

Nigel Currie, director of sports marketing firm Brand Rapport told the paper: “What he had going for him from a marketing perspective was his seemingly clean-cut personal image.”

He continued: “A little like Tiger Woods, he had this untouchable air about him, almost Mr Perfect – he was seen as a model professional and a really good guy...Once that image goes, he’s likely to find his whole unique selling point has gone, too.”

Giggs is already accused of having extra-marital affairs with former Big Brother contestant Imogen Thomas, his brother’s wife and a now, reports claim that a third women has admitted to an affair with the former Welsh international player.

Tiger Woods jeopardised several lucrative brand contracts last year following revelations over several extra-marital affairs which went against the golfer’s family image.
