Cartridge World media account for Universal McCann

Cartridge World has appointed McCann Erickson Central as its media planning and buying agency.

The printing cartridge retailer, which claims to annually spend £650,000, previously worked with Drama on its media strategy, but has now briefed its new agency to develop and implement a local media strategy to promote its 220 franchises, while at the same time creating an overarching national campaign, which will run across TV, radio, local press, D2D and online, as well as develop eCommerce initiatives.

Kevin Murphy, managing director of Universal McCann, will lead the media strategy.

Lucie Ward, Marketing Communications Manager for Cartridge World, comments: ''Finding the right balance between feeling like a small account in a large agency or vice versa is a challenge that most marketeers face. McCann seems to have their service levels balanced just right so Cartridge World can benefit from their personal service levels alongside big agency resources."

Cartridge World has also recently appointed Tangerine PR to handle its media communications activity.
