Israeli Facebook fanatics name baby girl “Like”
An Israeli couple has eschewed more conventional sources of inspiration and instead logged onto Facebook to find an unlikely name for their new daughter.
Lior and Vardit Adler were so taken by the social networking sites “like” function that they chose it as the name of their new baby.
Like Adler’s father, Lior, told Israeli paper Maariv: “In our opinion it's the modern equivalent of the name Ahava [Love]."It's just my way of saying to my fantastic daughter, 'Love'."
Like is already living up to her name however, as Lior explained to the paper: “When I posted her picture and name on Facebook I got 40 'likes', considering that I have only a little more than 100 friends on the network that's a lot."
