Edinburgh-based PR agency Profile Plus has won nine new accounts in the tourism, food and drink sectors - including Scotland’s Islands, Cameron House on Loch Lomond, Parc de Fierbois, Michelin-starred chef Martin Wishart and Primula.

In tourism, new clients are Scotland’s Islands, Cameron House on Loch Lomond, Parc de Fierbois in France’s Loire Valley, The Arch Inn in Ullapool and Craigsanquhar House near St Andrews.

New clients in the food sector are Michelin-starred chef Martin Wishart, launching his new brasserie-style restaurant in Edinburgh in July; Castle MacLellan, carrying out a summer campaign to promote its core range for outdoor dining, and Primula, aiming to increase brand awareness and attract a new generation of buyers.

Retained client Ian Macleod Distillers appointed Profile Plus to handle a separate project promoting the brand Isle of Skye Blended Scotch Whisky through its sponsorship of the racehorse Silver by Nature, which recently competed in the Grand National at Aintree.

2011-2012 is the Year of Scotland’s Islands and Profile Plus has been brought onboard by an umbrella organisation including all six Scottish councils with island communities, to promote a diverse programme of over 100 events across 42 islands.

Cameron House on Loch Lomond is seeking to raise the profile of its accommodation, spa, food and drink offering nationally, particularly targeting the younger, urban, under 35 demographic for a traditional Scottish experience with a twist.

Parc de Fierbois is undertaking UK PR for the first time, with Profile Plus targeting the family and over 50s markets to visit this picturesque holiday park in the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage region.

Managing director of Profile Plus, Robyn Glynne-Percy, said: “We are delighted to be appointed to handle all these new accounts, which are a testament to our expertise in the tourism, food and drink sectors. With the support of our parent company Freshwater we are able to offer a full communications service including media training, risk management and creative solutions.”
