Leeds companies Numiko and MezzoFilms have worked together to create a series of educational games for the BBC Bitesize GCSE revision website.

Digital agency Numiko received the brief from the BBC in March. Its task was to give the existing 'RU Revising Science' game a makeover while also creating new maths and English games.

Numiko appointed Mezzo as production partner, handing it responsibility for filming, editing and audio elements.

Together they have created games which challenge players to answer questions while being distracted by interruptions such as Skype calls, text messages and phone calls.

Helen Perkins, account director at Mezzo, said: "GCSE students are frontrunners in getting the best from different media so it was exciting to create a game that uses all these tools in a way that ultimately aids revision."
