Nimble Jack has created the branding for the Transition Institute, the enterprise co-founded by Social Enterprise London and NESTA.

The independent centre for research formed to inspire and facilitate new models of public service delivery invited Nimble Jack to pitch for the project following previous work with NESTA, with the commission requiring it to create a brand architecture and visual style, and take the branding through to invites, website and launch collateral in less than three weeks.

Nimble Jack, the agency set up last month following the merger of The Other Agency in Chester and ST&MP in London, was awarded the project when it was just one month old.

Design director Kevin West commented: “We wanted to create an identity that was evocative of partnership, and that reflects the collaboration and innovation between the organisation and people in the public sector. Timescales were tight, but speed and responsiveness is core to our offer; that’s why we’re called Nimble Jack.”

Social Enterprise London head of innovation Dom Potter who is leading the creation of the Transition Institute added: “Kevin and the team were absolutely fantastic to work with. We had a tight turnaround and a great deal riding on the launch but Nimble Jack oozed calm and confidence that they could deliver what we needed. In the end they not only delivered, they exceeded our expectations. I would recommend them to anyone and look forward to continuing to work with Nimble Jack in the long term.”
