Businesses looking to expand and grow internationally will be able to learn from those that have been there and done that at MiNetwork's forthcoming Go Global Conference on International Expansion.

Recent research from UK Trade & Investment has shown that businesses that export their services increase productivity by around 30% in the first year alone and have an 11% better chance of long term survival. The Go Global Conference on International Expansion will bring together a range of marketing services agency bosses, all of whom have made the move overseas and are now building their businesses internationally in markets from Europe to the Far East and the USA to Australia, to share their experiences with others looking to grow internationally.

Go Global will also bring together experts in the areas of finance, law and accountancy who will offer advice on operating internationally and some of the issues that operating in foreign markets can throw up.

Already lined up to share their knowledge and give advice to any marketing agency looking to work and open an office in an overseas market are a host of agencies that made the move overseas in recent years and are now reaping the rewards of operating internationally.

The Go Global speaker line-up so far includes Colin Burns of Elmwood who will talk about the brand consultany’s expansion into Singapore, New York and Melbourne; David Walters and Jayne Riley of Photolink who will cover their expansion into Mumbai; Reading Room’s Adam Portlock will speak about the digital agency’s move into Singapore and Sydney; Ian Ord will talk about Fifth Ring's expansion into Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuala Lumpur and Houston from its Aberdeen base and Michael Smith of Orb International and Sports Merchandise Global will offer advice of expanding a marketing business into mainland Europe and India. More speakers are also being added to the Go Global line-up to ensure that delegates get as much out of the day as possible.

Issues that Go Global’s presenters will be discussing during the conference will help delegates considering expanding their operations overseas answer the following questions:

- What are the real benefits of going international?

- Which is the right overseas market for my business?

- How should I plan and manage the expansion process?

- What will be the key challenges I will face and how can I overcome them?

- How will I establish my business in a foreign marketplace?

- What support is available to me, both at home and abroad?

- Which overseas markets offer the best opportunities for my business?

- How do you manage staff based hundreds of miles away from HQ?

Go Global has also secured John Riker of the Blue Ocean Strategy Initiative Centre as the keynote speaker for the Conference and John will share his thoughts on how marketing service agencies can use Blue Ocean Strategy to stop competing with eachother head on, but develop new marketplaces and target new potential customers, who may be viewed as non customers at the moment.

Speaking of Go Global, Richard Draycott of Minetwork said: “Go Global will offer ambitious agencies and marketers some genuine and down to earth advice on international expansion from the people who have actually done it successfully. There’ll be no theories, but just solid advice and information which will help agencies wanting to grow outside the UK do just that in the coming months and years. I’m also delighted to have John Riker on board as our keynote speaker, having seen John present before I know that Go Global’s delegates will find his presentation inspiring and a breath of fresh air on how to identify new markets for their businesses.”

Go Global takes place on Thursday 30th June at Manchester Art Gallery from 8.30am to 5pm and tickets include a full catered lunch and access to the Go Global Mastermind Group.
