Cello Group has appointed The Leith Agency's Richard Marsham as a managing partner.

The Cello Group employs just under 800 staff globally, operating in over 70 countries, and has an annualised operating income in excess of £60m.

Marsham has been the chief architect in growing the Cello owned Leith Agency over the last five years, recently winning the likes of Scottish & Southern Electricity, Maxxium and News International business, as well heading up the agency's Scottish Government accounts.

Marsham is also responsible for managing the Edinburgh Hub of Cello agencies, including Tangible, the Leith Agency, Stripe Communications and Blonde.

Commenting on this latest appointment, recently announced Cello Group MD John Rowley said: “This appointment reflects the very high regard that Cello Group PLC has for Richard and the importance of the Edinburgh Hub as whole to the company.

“Edinburgh is the largest unit by people within Cello and have been a solid contributor to Cello financially since it's inception. Little of this would have been possible without Richard’s patient and wise leadership.

"Richard will continue to be responsible for developing and making the Edinburgh hub as competitive as possible and growing the careers of the team here in the process. This appointment ensures that Edinburgh has a strong voice at the heart of the Cello Group PLC.”
