Samsung has agreed a sponsorship deal to support Swindon Town for the next football season.
The commercial partnership sees the mobile phone brand become the official sponsor of Swindon FC for the 2011/2012 season, having previously teams up for the nationwide ‘Win a Pro Contract’ competition which offered an amateur the chance to become a professional player.
Martin Howard, sponsorship director of Samsung commented: “Swindon Town FC proved to be a forward-thinking club and gave us the opportunity to work closely with other brands such as Adidas, FourFourTwo magazine and Goals Soccer Centres on the ‘Win A Pro Contract’ concept. We have a second campaign planned, which will be announced shortly.”
The activity will complement the company’s flagship activity as the sponsor of Chelsea FC.
