PHD North founder Blakeman named as CEO of OMD Asia Pacific

Steve Blakeman, former managing partner at PHD, has been named as chief executive officer for global media agency OMD in the Asia Pacific region.

Blakeman, who helped established PHD in Manchester, has been tasked with leading OMD’s operations in the region, as well as driving existing client satisfaction and growth to enhance the company’s value-proposition.

Blakeman is currently chief integration strategy offices for Asia Pacific at IPG, where he divides his time between Universal McCann, Initiative and McCann Erickson.

Blakeman, who will take up his new role in the third quarter of 2011, launched PHD North in Manchester in 2003 where he was named as Adline's Agency Head of the Year.
