Lord Alan Sugar is to ‘save’ English football in a new BBC programme set to air on BBC 2.

Lord Sugar Tackles Football will see the Apprentice boss set out his five-point blueprint to achieve his goal and will interview Karren Brady, vice-chairman of West Ham FC as part of the documentary.

The series, headed up by the former owner of Tottenham Hotspur, is expected to air later this spring and will highlight the financial problems facing English clubs.
