Laird named as new creative director at Rave

Doug Laird has been appointed as the new creative director of Rave Communications.

Laird has formed served as creative director at Oakbase and Underdog, as well as senior creative roles while working at TBWA/Manchester for over a decade.

He joins following the departure of Jamie Buckingham to become senior art director at McCann Erickson Communications House in March.

John Wilford, managing director of Rave commented: “We are delighted to have brought Doug to Rave. He is an exceptional talent and much sought after by other agencies in the industry. The team is very much looking forward to working with Doug on creating even more exceptional campaigns for our existing and future clients.”

Laird added: “Rave is an extremely ambitious agency and everyone understands the impact that ideas can have in any media. There's a real buzz about the place and I'm excited about the opportunity here.”

Laird will be based at the agency’s Birmingham office, where he will oversee its creative team working with clients such as Carlsberg, Corgi, IRWIN Tools, AEG, Zanussi and Graco.
